Change Up Your Workwear Fashion

Uniforms aren’t required at most offices, but we tend to create our own anyway – a variation of the same black slacks, light blue blouse and nude pumps for example. But since we spend (at least) 40 hours a week at work, don’t be afraid to switch things up every now and then! Here are a few of our favorite business casual pieces right now, available in the Corridor.

Ditch Black Clothes

Black may be the most flattering color, but it’s not the most fun! When it comes to your outfit basics – jacket, pants – switching your regular black for a bold color can make you feel more confident. We love this bright white blazer ($199) from Banana Republic inside Galleria Dallas, made in a slim-fitting look that appears tailored to your body. And the lightweight material will have you feeling as cool as you look!

For pants, change up the color and the cut by getting these Topshop wide-leg trousers ($68) in blush from Nordstrom. These gorgeous pants are high-waisted, featuring a pretty five-button closure on the top. The hemline hits between ankle and knee, with the pants getting wider near the feet. These dress pants are as airy as a dress, with all the practicality of pants.

Make it Leafy

Floral prints are a no-brainer this time of year, but the new trend is to go leafy instead! To make sure your outfit doesn’t look like you are ready for autumn, opt for leaves with fresh colors – like green and gold. This pencil skirt ($98) from Ann Taylor is the perfect solution! It features a smattering of large, teal leaves against a white background, with a matching cinch belt that ties around your waist. Or, go feel like a Greek goddess with this gold leaf petal bracelet ($39.50) that wraps around your wrist and adds a little touch of glam to any outfit.

Tie a Scarf

Delicate summer scarves are an easy way to add a pop of color to your look. Chico’s at Village on the Parkway has several options, like the multi-colored animal and tropical flowers print or the vibrant orange scarf with tassels and white elephants ($49.50 each). Tie around your neck or waist for ultimate feminine to show off your fun side!

Upgrade Your Shoe Game

Flats are comfortable (and we love them), but nothing makes a woman feel more powerful than the perfect pair of heels. We love the Christian Louboutin slingback pumps ($995) from Neiman Marcus. These sophisticated shoes feature a black-and-white striped pattern with a matching bow and the famous red soles on the bottom. As a bonus, the low heel and strap around your ankle make it easy to be on your feet all day.
