Going out to dinner or lunch doesn’t always have to mean you have to order a full meal. Sometimes, it’s a lot more fun when we share. Ordering a little bit of everything is a fun way to try out new things, or simply have more of a variety for lunch or dinner. Appetizers, finger foods, smaller portions or sample plates are a great way to explore the menu.
At Malarkey’s Tavern, try the Trinity from their ‘Great Beginnings’ section of the menu. Choose three menu items: Malarkey Balls, potato skins, fried cheese, chicken lips, chicken fingers, fried pickles, stuffed jalapeños or the Malarkey Wings with your choice of three sauces. A great way to sample more of their menu without ordering more than you can actually eat. http://www.malarkeystavern.com/
I’ve been a fan of Snuffers for as long as I can remember. Their loaded cheddar fries are the stuff foodie dreams are made of. The order of loaded cheddar fries is enough to feed a small family. So order that! But add some of the items from their Happy-Tizers menu during happy hour and enjoy. Buffalo chicken bites, individual fried pickles, mini burger quesadillas and more. Lots of food for not a lot of money. You can’t beat that. www.snuffers.com
Try RA Sushi Bar for lots of amazing finger size food. Check out the ‘Sharables’ portion of their menu. There is a lot to choose from here so make sure to take your time and come up with a game plan because you will want to order everything! I’m a sucker for fried rice, so right off the bat, I’m ordering their “RA”ckin’ Fried Rice with spicy chicken. Try the pineapple cheese wontons, spring rolls, lobster spring rolls, Tunacado, “RA”ckin’ shrimp and so much more! You can’t go wrong here. Visit their website for the full menu.
I can’t forget to mention Chuy’s and their Happy Hour Fully-Loaded Nacho Car (WHICH IS FREE!). Besides the nacho car, try the appetizer plate and the queso compuesto. Lots of amazing flavors to share. www.chuys.com
