Spaghetti Dinners in the Corridor

Have you seen a more romantic scene than that of Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” spaghetti scene? How many of us have recreated, or at least tried to recreate that iconic spaghetti kiss? It’s such a romantic moment. I know I certainly tried to recreate that moment when my wife and I were dating. What can I say, I’m a sucker for romantic stuff. Anyways, today I’m bringing you some of the best places for spaghetti in town where, if you choose to, you can recreate that famous scene.

Let’s start out Kenny’s Italian Kitchen. This is one of our favorite date night restaurants. The pasta is delicious. The service is top notch. You can’t go wrong here. Try the spaghetti and “Midnight” meatballs. The chicken Scaloppini is to die for; served with artichokes, mushrooms, capers, smoked bacon, white wine lemon butter sauce, and served over angel hair spaghetti.

At Andiamo Italian Grill on Belt Line just west of Midway you will get hand-crafted Italian dishes that will transport you straight to Italy. You will feel as though you are right in the kitchen of one of Italy’s famous family kitchens. Try the Salmon Mediterraneo, pan-seared salmon topped with chopped fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, asparagus with angel hair marinara. www.andiamoitaliangrill.com

If you are heading out for a movie night at Look Cinema, come out early for dinner at Coal Vines. Enjoy an amazing meal before catching the latest blockbuster. Try the Pasta Bolognese, Chicken Florentine or the Chicken Parmesan. Call ahead to make reservations and when the weather is nice, enjoy the outdoor seating. Visit their website for the complete menu and to make reservations.

Over in Addison Circle, try Antonio Ristorante. Authentic Italian food served in a relaxed but very nice atmosphere. Choose a dish from their “Pasta E Riso Della Casa” menu like their classic fettuccine Alfredo or Antonio’s Carbonara. Fettuccini pasta tossed in cream sauce with black pepper, onions, white wine, topped with a poached egg and pancetta. Reservations are required and can be made on their website.

These are just a few of the many choices we have in Addison and the Corridor. We love hearing from our readers, so if you have a favorite place to get spaghetti, share it with us in the comments section below.
