It’s an exciting time for Addison-based Open Options, a pioneer in the open platform community, as ACRE recently announced it will be acquiring the company. Based in Nevada, ACRE is a global leader in providing state-of-the-art security systems.
According to a recent press release, this purchase will “enhance ACRE’s strategic expansion plans for strengthening its access control business and product portfolio.” Joseph Grillo, CEO of ACRE, explained that this transaction will continue to expand ACRE’s competitive position in a highly fragmented market with great growth potential.
“The acquisition of Open Options boosts Vanderbilt’s reach in the access control market and enhances our product portfolio with the addition of an open architecture access control solution,” Grillo said in the press release. “With the international portfolio fully integrated, it was time to turn our focus to North America.”
Founded in 1997, Open Options is a leading provider of innovative access control solutions with the best service and support teams in the industry. It’s flagship access control platform, DNA Fusion, interfaces seamlessly with leading security technologies to provide customers with an outstanding security solution. The company’s business culture and dedication to customer service is another thing that sets them apart. This acquisition will increase ACRE’s position in the access control market, with emphasis on North America.
ACRE was formed in 2012 and has played a significant part in developing and implementing security technology initiatives on a global scale. It employs more than 325 employees in more than 20 countries, and it’s Vanderbilt and ComNet brands deliver advanced solutions to thousands of customers around the world. Prior to acquiring Open Options, ACRE completed the acquisitions of Connecticut-based ComNet and Ireland-based Access Control Technologies in 2016.
“We are pleased to join the ACRE organization with its strong global reach, which will open new opportunities for the Open Options product range,” added Steve Fisher, Open Options founder and CEO in the press release.
Congratulations to ACRE and Open Options on this successful merge! We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for both companies.
