The office building in the Fourteen5 office park on the Dallas North Tollway has a new occupant. Common Desk, a local coworking company, announced they will move into the building developed by Cawley Partners in the spring. They will rent 26,500 square feet, according to a release Common Desk published.
“We’ve heard so many requests to bring Common Desk to the lower Tollway-Addison area over the years,” Nick Clark, founder and CEO of Common Desk, said in a statement. “Fourteen5 is a visionary project with a robust amenity set, and it provides the perfect space for our exciting entry into Addison.”
North Dallas has been growing for several years, and that isn’t anticipated to slow anytime soon. Large corporations have been attracting professionals across the area, and with the influx of new residents in Addison, Common Desk saw a need. Coworking has been popular in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex but we haven’t quite seen it expand into the North Dallas and Addison area until now. And this isn’t the only space Common Desk has announced they are opening.
“Why all the growth?” Common Desk stated. “Because we believe there are a lot of DFW professionals out there who have yet to truly and fully enjoy their office experience, and we’re on a mission to change that. Because if you’re spending 40+ hours a week in your office, you might as well enjoy it, right?”
Coworking spaces offer a comfortable and enjoyable office environment for working professionals to do work together in a shared location. Common Desk – Addison will cover two floors in Phase One building of the Fourteen5 office park. The space features contemporary finishes throughout the entire space with high ceilings and modern windows to allow the natural light to shine through. You can work while enjoying a view since the space is wrapped in windows. Common Desk – Addison will have a mix of private offices ranging in size from 1-person to 10-person, team spaces, shared desks and collaborative booths and banquettes. The game lounge will help you take a break from your workday while playing ping pong or shuffleboard. Common Desk – Addison will also provide a cocktail lounge that will be located in the center. Members can grab a quick craft cocktail any day of the week. Common Desk members will be able to enjoy not only the amenities of the coworking environment but also the perks of the office park itself. In between the Phase One and Phase Two buildings, members can find Ascension Coffee in the Hub. The park also features community dinners, networking events and even fitness classes.
“We’ve seen the caliber of space Common Desk delivers and the types of tenants this rapidly-growing coworking firm attracts,” said Jeremy Duggins, Cawley Partners project leasing manager. “We have no doubt that a partnership with Common Desk is a perfect match for this Class-A building. With Common Desk, we’ll be able to provide an innovative environment with unique features that will appeal to current and future Fourteen5 tenants.”
