Addison-Based PartnerSource Honored Industry Professionals with Compassionate Service Awards

Addison-based PartnerSource, which is the leading source for responsible alternatives to traditional workers’ compensation, recently honored two industry professionals for their outstanding dedication to employees’ health and well-being. April Hamlin, a claims adjuster with Dillard’s, and Vanessa Sutton, a case manager with CMI, which is the claims administrator for Walmart, were each named winners of the Compassionate Service Awards at the 2018 PartnerSource Employers’ Conference in Dallas.

“These awards are presented for demonstrating kindness, compassion and empathy in the care of injured works,” said PartnerSource President Jennifer Hurless at the awards ceremony, according to a recent press release. “These are two individuals who have excelled at managing claims in this manner for injured workers.”

Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Hamlin has worked with Dillard’s for 12 years, and she was noted for the foundation of trust and goodwill she has fostered with injured employees.

The press release notes that Richard Johnson, PartnerSource attorney team leader, presented the award to Hamlin and said, “She does not just ‘handle claims.’ She invests time and cares about the well-being of each individual, actively working at building a relationship along the way. April not only assists with educating injured employees concerning their benefits, but she also works with their locations to facilitate prompt return to work and confirm compliance with any work limitations. In doing so, she is helping to reduce the unwanted financial stress to the injured workers while getting them back to their normal routine.”

Sutton works for CMI in Carrollton. According to the release, Amy Blank, PartnerSource vice president of Partnership Services, presented her the award, noting her ability to balance her case load while maintaining a willingness to consistently achieve excellence. “She maintains a good rapport with all of her injured associates, and they don’t hesitate to contact her with any questions or concerns because she is always readily available to speak with them and offer reassurance. When a difficult claim presents itself, Vanessa does an exceptional job offering meaningful suggestion on how to bring the file to resolution to the satisfaction of both the injured worker and the employer.”

The PartnerSource Employers’ Conference, where the Compassionate Service Awards are given out annually, draws attendees from across the nation who are interested in best practices for providing best-in-class services when injuries occur on the job. This year’s conference was attended by hundreds of professionals, comprising a wide range of businesses from many different sectors including retail, hotels, food service, transportation and logistics, healthcare and more.
