Gold Makeup Trend

From metallic to sparkly, subtle to bold, the gold makeup trend is taking over our Instagram feeds—and our hearts! How can you not fall in love with this look, which is reminiscent of Greek goddesses and royalty? Gold eye shadow, liner, highlighter and even lipstick will make you look radiant this fall! Keep reading for some tips on how to do it right.

Lips

All-over gold lips and a small hint of gold glitter on your lips are both trendy right now. The Too Faced Melted Gold Liquified Lip Gloss from Sephora will help you achieve either look! This liquid-foil lip gloss is shiny, dramatic and infused with real gold. Layer it for a bold look, or add a thin layer over your favorite lip color like red or pink for a shimmery smile.

Eyes

Embrace your inner queen by using gold eye makeup this fall! For a glamorous style, use a nude or cream along the top of your eyelids under your eyebrows, and then fill the crease and base of your lids with Chanel’s Ombre Premiere Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in 34 Poudre D’or (a metallic gold!) from Neiman Marcus. A less dramatic option would be to use your regular eyeshadow colors, like tan, beige or light pink, and finish with a sweep of the gold Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner from Sephora.

Face

Your skin will glow when you use Peter Thomas Roth’s 24k Gold Pure Luxury Lift and Firm Prism Cream, available at Beauty Brands. This magical cream contains optical diffusers for a prismatic effect, which scatters the light on your skin and reduces the appearance of skin imperfections. You will have hydrated, fresh and glowing skin! Afterward, apply your regular foundation like normal, and finish your look with a sweep of the Lancome Dual Finish Highlighter from Neiman Marcus. This gorgeous sparkly gold highlighter will illuminate your cheekbones in just the right way.
