She is one of the country’s funniest and most sought-after comedians and on Sept. 7 she will hit the stage at the Addison Improv for a weekend full of laughter. Loni Love is coming to the Addison Improv and will be performing her hilarious stand up throughout the weekend.
Loni co-hosts the EMMY nominated daytime talk show “The Real.” She also co-hosts “Café Mocha,” a radio show with MC Lyte. Together with MC Lyte, they have interviewed President Obama as well as his wife, John Legend and Toni Braxton among others. The multitalented comedian is also the author of the relationship advice book, “Love Him Or Leave Him, But Don’t Get Stuck With the Tab.” She can also be seen co-starring alongside Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Jason Sudikis in the film “Mother’s Day.” You may also remember her from Kevin James’ “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” movie.
As if all of those projects didn’t keep her busy enough, Loni is also the subject of the documentary “Being Loni Love.” The documentary traces Loni’s life story from her early days as a latchkey daughter growing up in Detroit’s Brewster-Douglass housing projects to national stand up comedian, television and movie star. According to a press release, Loni had this to say about the documentary, “I was honored when the “Being” producers wanted to hear my story. I want to share my life story to inspire all women that they can become and achieve whatever they want.”
