French Macaron Cooking Class at Yelibelly Chocolates

Who knew a little almond flour and meringue could taste so good? These ingredients — plus sugar, egg whites and a delicious, creamy filling — make up the delightfully colorful French macarons that have become increasingly popular in recent years. It’s not hard to see why everyone loves these Instagram-worthy French treats: they are small, elegant and perfectly sweet! Now, you can make macarons yourself, by signing up for the Yelibelly Chocolates French macaron cooking class at 6:30 p.m. May 9.

Guests will learn the secrets of baking macarons, complete in a relaxed French atmosphere. You will be making milk chocolate and passion fruit ganache to fill the macarons, and you will even get to leave with a gift box of your own macarons to take home!

Invite your girlfriends or make it a date night at this fun class, where you can enjoy complimentary drinks and appetizers before making the macarons. The event is also BYOB, if you are in the mood for something a little stronger than soft drinks at the class.

Located at 15080 Beltway Drive in Addison, Yelibelly Chocolates is an award-winning, artisan chocolate company that has been making flavor-infused chocolate since 2009. It was founded by Yeli, who has been studying and performing Middle Eastern belly dance since 1999. She discovered flavor-infused chocolates during a trip to Italy and decided to make her own chocolates in 2007. She came up with the name of the business after a friend suggested to blend her name and her passion of dance together!

Yelibelly Chocolates sell chocolates and flavor-infused ganaches that are handcrafted in small batches using natural ingredients, with no preservatives used in the ethically sourced chocolate. Although they do not currently have a storefront, they sell their treats in pop-up shops all over the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, as well as online. They offer cooking classes, tours of the factory and new flavors often.
