Dallas Medical Center Named Large Business of the Year

Dallas Medical Center CEO, J.T. Barnhart

Dallas Medical Center recently joined the ranks of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Essilor of America, as the latest company to receive the Large Business of the Year award by the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce! This award is given to companies that have made significant contributions to the community or have created a legacy in Farmers Branch and surrounding areas.

“We are honored to receive this award,” said JT Barnhart, CEO of Dallas Medical Center in a recent press release. “Our staff has worked hard for years to expand our services and provide the best care possible to those in our community. We’re proud to serve our neighbors, and we believe a healthy community is the cornerstone to leading a great life.”

To be selected for this award, nominees must employ more than 100 staff members and demonstrate that they have made an impact on the business world, local community and within their own companies. Dallas Medical Center was chosen primarily because of its service to the community. The last few years has seen major growth in the hospital, as it has opened and upgraded many service lines in order to meet the needs of the community, including: a new cardiology center, bariatrics clinic, surgical specialty clinic, advanced center for wound care and hyperbaric medicine and inpatient medical stabilization services for those battling addiction. In addition, the hospital has also supported the community through financial sponsorships and donations to local organizations.

Dallas Medical Center is a full-service, acute care hospital that offers medical and surgical in-patient stays, outpatient surgery, 24-hour emergency care, diagnostic radiology and laboratory, internal medicine and family practice. It has more than 400 physicians on staff and employs more than 600 people. Dallas Medical Center provides excellent care based on its core values of compassion, quality and cost-effectiveness. In addition, a recent study found that Dallas Medical Center is the Town of Addison’s primary choice for emergency care.
