Join GeekMeet Dallas, A Tech Meetup Group in Addison

If you like craft beer and technology, this meet up could be perfect for you!

Everyone loves that special feeling of connecting with someone over a shared interest: you both love golf, craft beer or reading Addison Magazine for example. If you are a “techie,” then you might enjoy meeting with other professionals working in the technology industry—you could bond over coding, programming, your favorite Star Wars movie and more!—by signing up for GeekMeet Dallas, a tech Meetup group. The next meeting is at 5-7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at The Londoner in Addison.

According to its website, GeekMeet is “the fastest growing networking group for techies. We help techies of all walks meet fellow professionals and build relationships that help grow careers and impact the future. Our mission: ‘To help technologists succeed as thinkers, strategists, communicators and leaders of the future.’”

In addition to networking with other technology professionals, you can also enjoy a few Happy Hour drinks. The Londoner offers a variety of beer, specialty cocktails, wines and spirits. Enjoy $2.75 domestic bottles, $3 wells, and $1 off everything else including a Crispin Cider layered with Guinness, a Cucumber Cup cocktail and more.

The Londoner is a British-style pub that offers authentic British cuisine—including delicious fish and chips!—as well as American favorites. It also has darts, pool, and many TVs playing sports. It has different specials every day. During the GeekMeet Dallas event on Wednesday, it will be offering Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. and half off bottled wines.

This event could just be the perfect way to help advance your career. It will be a relaxing, fun and unique chance to meet other “geeks” in your field—if you make a new friend who loves Luke Skywalker as much as you do, it’s just another bonus!
