Skinny Drinks in the Corridor

Your favorite drinks can also be skinny.

It’s the new year and many of us are on a health kick. While it’s great to cut alcohol from your diet completely, it’s not for everyone. So, for those who want a delicious libation without the calories, here are our favorite skinny drinks in the corridor.

  1. Gloria’s Skinny Margarita

There’s no better place to find a skinny Margarita in the Corridor than at Gloria’s Latin Cuisine. This healthy marg is made with Frida Kahlo 100% Blue Agave Tequila, fresh-made lime juice, and sweet agave nectar. This delicious drink is about 140 calories and is best served with Gloria’s fajitas or enchiladas. With happy hour all day Monday through Thursday, this Skinny Margarita is calling your name!

  1. The Best Martini Around

Table 13 is a classy joint with a romantic ambiance and delicious American cuisine. While we were momentarily distracted by their Ice Cream drinks, “liquer parfaits” as they call them, we had to hone our focus in and remind ourselves to focus on skinny drinks. That wasn’t too hard to do since Table 13 is known to have the best martini’s around, a verifiable low-calorie drink. The best time to enjoy a martini at Table 13 is during happy hour, Monday through Friday from 11 am to 4 pm when they only cost $3. However, any time to have a martini at Table 13 is a good time as this classic drink in a vintage setting makes for a great day.

  1. A Backcountry Mule

Whiskey fans, don’t worry – there’s a skinny drink for you. Head to Lazy Dog in Addison for their Backcountry mule, made of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, house made ginger beer, and a dash of orange. This mule is just slightly lower on the calorie rating than Lazy Dog’s Irish Mule or Moscow Mule, making it the perfect drink for ladies and gents looking to keep it trim this new year. Enjoy the Backcountry Mule with low-cal happy hour favorites or appetizers like Togarashi Edamame Beans, chicken lettuce wraps, or the housemade hummus.

4.     Cilantro Lemon Collins

Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub Grill has a wide variety of specialty drinks, but we have to go with our skinny favorite – the Cilantro Lemon Collins. Grey Goose Vodka and Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka are mixed with lemon juice, simple syrup, and fresh cilantro for a fresh, sweet drink. Request the simple syrup to be left out and you have your self an even lower-calorie drink.
