Mobile Mammography Unit Visits Addison Athletic Club

Mobile Mammography

Focusing on your health in 2018 means more than just committing to an exercise regimen or drinking more water (although those are both important!). To truly be healthy, it’s important to get regular wellness screenings, designed to catch certain diseases early. For women, one of the most important health screenings you can get is a mammogram. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center and the Addison Athletic Club want to help make mammograms more accessible, which is why they are bringing a mobile mammography unit to the Addison Athletic Club on January 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This 41-foot mobile mammography unit is part of an effort by Baylor Scott & White to make regular mammogram screenings easily accessible to every woman. They have been driving the bus around the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex to local businesses to allow women the chance to get screened.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, mammograms are the best tests doctors have to find breast cancer early; in some cases, up to three years before it can be felt. Of course, catching breast cancer early raises the chances of recovery, which is why it’s so important to have regular screenings done.

Make your reservation today, by calling the Baylor Mobile Women’s Imaging Center at 214/820-3040 to book your appointment. You will need to know the patient’s name and address, phone numbers for work and home, patient’s date of birth, patient’s social security number, name and address of patient’s physician, and patient’s insurance policy and group numbers.

The Addison Athletic Club offers many recreational, health, fitness and athletic programs for residents of the Town of Addison. Members have access to indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor track, weight lifting and cardio equipment, spa, sauna and steam rooms, outdoor trails, tennis and racquetball courts and more.

Tell your friends and family members about this event – you never know when a breast cancer screening could save someone’s life!
