Dr. Jackson graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1976, and completed his neurosurgery residency program at the University of Florida in 1981. Since 1982, he has practiced neurosurgery in Dallas. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. During his medical career, he has served as president of the medical staff and two-time chariman of the department of neurosurgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, department chair at St. Paul Hospital, and president of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is currently a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurosurgeons, Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons and Texas Medical Association.
