North Dallas Chamber of Commerce Flu Shot Clinic

Don’t forget your flu shot!

Nobody likes to think about getting sick; after all, who wants to spend days stuck in bed when there is so much to do this autumn? So wash your hands, take your vitamins and get your annual flu vaccine (one of the best things you can do to prevent getting sick!). This week, the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce (NDCC) is hosting a Flu Shot Clinic on September 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place inside the Ebby Halliday Education and Marketing Office at 4447 Sigma Road in Dallas.

“Ebby Halliday, REALTORS is proud to be a longtime supporter of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce,” said Randall Graham, Vice President and Director of Marketing for Ebby Halliday, REALTORS. “While the NDCC is building its new home, we are honored to provide a temporary home to support the chamber and its mission to serve North Dallas and the chamber’s membership.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in your body, which provide protection against the influenza viruses that research has found to be most common during each flu season. The CDC recommends everyone 6 months old and older receive the flu vaccine every year. The shots that will be given at the NDCCC clinic are preservative-free, quadrivalent, single dose flu shots using the small gauge pediatric needles. Everyone ages 3 and up can be vaccinated at this clinic.

To make getting your flu shot even more convenient, they are free if you have any PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas HMO or Tricare insurance! If you are uninsured or have Medicare or Medicaid, the flu shots are only $40 (cash only). To sign up, register online here. For each vaccine administered at the event, $5 will be donated to WiNGS Dallas, a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower women, fight poverty and impact generations. They serve women in crisis, with programs in the areas of financial education, work skills support, pregnancy and parenting education, and small business development.

The mission of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce is to make Dallas a better place to live, work, raise a family and build a business. Members have the chance to learn about business development, network with the more than 800 member organizations, attend educational conferences, increase your brand’s visibility through advertising and sponsorships, help make a difference in the community, develop leadership skills and more.
