How to Wear Metallics for Every Occasion

Metallics can make your outfit pop

Metallics are making a great comeback. Metallic shirts, shoes, backpacks and even leggings. What some people don’t know about wearing metallic is that sometimes it can be bit much. Luckily, we have some great tips on how to style and wear your new metallic outfits for every occasion!

On a Date

If you are out on a date, wear metallic to give your outfit some character! Metallic skirts are found at almost any store in the Galleria. Grab a gold-toned metallic skirt and pair it with a solid, black sweater. If it’s warmer weather, pair with a loose, v-neck tank of either black or maroon colored. This gives the outfit contrast, and lets the outfit become casual, but also not too casual. This makes a great date-night outfit.

For the Workplace

If you weren’t sure if you could wear metallics in the workplace, the answer is yes! Metallic blazers in neutral colors are great to wear when you’re at work. Gray, pink, beige and green are great neutral colors that will give you flair, but not overbearing. Wear your blazer with matching metallic colored flats and solid colored pants and tank. You will definitely light up the workroom!

For Around the Town

Wearing metallics around the town can make any head turn. To achieve this look, wear a metallic slip dress. If you are walking around during the day, pair with solid, strappy comfy flats, with matching bangles, studs and simple necklace. If you are taking an evening stroll to a nice restaurant along the way, wear some metallic or solid boots with thin bracelets, long earrings and a thin necklace.

Hanging out with Friends

If you want to look fierce, then wearing metallic shoes are a great option. Metallic sneakers are great with some boyfriend jeans, and a crop top shirt. If it’s a little chilly, collide this look with a metallic sweater. For metallic flats, pair with skinny jeans, loose fitting t-shirt and compliment with a metallic jacket, if you so choose.

These are four great styles to wear metallic clothing . Of course, if you want more metallic, then you can always wear metallic make-up with your look. Whichever you choose, remember to be you!
