World’s Most Iconic Art Galleries

Art is a powerful form of expression throughout the world. Here in Addison, we have the Southwest Art Gallery that houses multiple artist from around the world . We also have the magnificent Dallas Art Museum, which has held some prominent art from iconic artist. Now let’s step into the rest of the world and take a look at some of the most iconic art galleries from around the world.

Musee d’Orsay (Paris)

Known as one of the richest and greatest galleries in the world, this museum is one of the top must-see places when people visit Paris. The gallery holds some early modern art, including works from Van Gogh, Monet, Cezzane and Matisse. The Musee d’Orsay also hosts special events and numerous other exhibits throughout the year.

National Palace Museum (Taipei)

The National Palace Museum is the main art museum in China. From the Shang to the Qing, the museum holds art from more than four thousand years of Chinese history. The museum also holds a collection of art documents and object, such as archival documents, Chinese ritual bronzes, lacquer ware, decorative carvings, embroidery, enamelware and many more.

Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlin)

The Hamburg Bahnhof is a renowned contemporary art museum that holds work from Kiefer, Beuys, Haring Rauschenberg and Warhol. This art museum was actually once housed in a former railway station, but since grown to six big buildings. The museum is known as one of the leading places for exhibiting contemporary and modern art.

Tate Modern (London)

On the list for most famous art galleries in the world, the Tate Modern holds an array of international contemporary art from the 1900s. This museum not only holds art, but it’s outer wireframe looks like a piece of art. On the inside, there are levels that depict artworks arranged by theme in every room. Each room is arranged by a fusion of chronology and periods. At the center of every wing, you can find a display hub that focuses on iconic moments of the 20th century art history.

The Louvre (Paris)

Paris, France is home to a multitude of amazing art galleries, which is why it’s on here twice. The Louvre Paris is a piece of art outside and inside. Home to the Mona Lisa, the inside of the Louvre contains eight departments that consist of 35,000 works of art. The collections consist of artwork from various cultures that have been collected over the past 500 year.
