Beat the Heat with These Cocktails

cocktails for summer

Trying to stay cool during these blazing summer days is quite a challenge. Coming home after a long day at work only to be met with not-so-cool summer nights gets old quickly. One way to help beat the heat are some of the amazingly refreshing cocktails around Addison and the North Dallas Corridor. So, send a group text, grab a few friends and meet up at one of these places to cool off and relax after a long summer day.

Let’s start off with the Angeltini at Vernon’s Gastropub. Although not officially on their menu, the Angeltini is a refreshing drink for the summer months. Cranberry juice, Razzmatazz liqueur, and Three Olives vodka come together to form a delicious cocktail.

For a cocktail straight from the beautiful country of Brazil, try the signature Cocktail at Texas de Brazil; “The Caipirinha.” Made with Brazilian Cachaça, simple syrup, ice and one fresh lime; this is a great drink on its own or with your meal. Check out the rest of the bar menu at Texas de Brazil for more amazing drinks.

Over at Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, it seems like they specialize on drinks to beat the heat! From the Spicy Pineapple Margarita to the Blush Margarita. There’s something for everyone, and their outdoor patio area is the perfect place to kick back and relax with all your friends.

Chuy’s is fighting fire with fire. Their Texas Martini is made with chile-infused El Jimador Silver Tequila and Cointreau and topped with jalapeño-stuffed olives. Check out the fully-loaded nacho car during happy hour and make it a complete experience.

If you managed to stay out of the heat by shopping at Galleria Mall, stop by The Grill for one of their signature cocktails. Try the Spiced Strawberry Mule made with Bacardi Oakheart, freshly squeezed lime juice, fresh mint and fresh berries.

Whichever you choose to help you through these extreme days of summer, make a fun outing with friends and remember to enjoy responsibly.
