If you’ve ever been to a doctor’s office or had a major surgery, then you know that nurses are extremely important. Having the right nurse care for you can make a huge difference in your experience, which is why good nurses are so valuable. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano understands the importance of hiring caring, qualified nurses. That’s why the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has recognized Texas Health Plano for the third time as a Magnet® hospital.
“The Magnet® program, considered the most prestigious designation honoring nursing service, recognizes health care organizations for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in the nursing practice,” stated a recent press release. “This important designation continues to put Texas Health Plano at the forefront of patient care in our community as well as stateside and nationally.”
Currently, there are only about 450 hospitals and health systems in the world and only about 40 in Texas that have received Magnet® hospital status. Also, Texas Health Plano is one of only 15 hospitals in Texas to have earned this status three times.
“We are proud to say that Texas Health Plano continues to be a leader in quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovative practice, as it has for more than 26 years,” stated the press release.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is part of Texas Health Resources, one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health systems in the United States. Texas Health Resources includes 29 hospital locations. Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served Addison, Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Richardson and McKinney with advanced medical treatments and an experienced staff. Their mission is to improve the health of people in all the communities they serve.
Although we are excited that Texas Health Plano has received this prestigious designation for the third year, we are not surprised. With hospital staff that really cares about each patient, you can count on excellent care each time you visit.
