The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in their role as community leaders, and just recently they appointed a new leader of their own. The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce appointed Ken S. Malcolmson as its President and CEO.
Prior to the appointment, Malcolmson served as CEO of Afferent Proyider Solutions. Over the years he has garnered more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive, in addition to being a key figure in numerous non-profit organizations. Malcolmson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU), holding a bachelor of arts degree, and has served on the board of directors for Friends of Katy Trail, Dallas Friday Group, Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, SMU’s Board of Trustees and many more.
“Ken is the right CEO for the chamber,” stated Scott Kirksey, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce Chairman, in a recent press release on the topic. “He is a recognized leader in Dallas, with broad support from other civic business and government leaders across the city. We are incredibly pleased that he has agreed to accept this position.”
Undoubtedly, the 62-year-old business association will benefit from Malcolmson joining the team after the Chamber’s former President & CEO, Bruce Bradford’s, February departure. He assumes all duties regarding chamber programs, operations, new member generation and continuation of active board of directors communication.
Kirksey voiced the budding enthusiasm in the aforementioned press release when he said, “The Chamber is at a very exciting transition point.” He continued, explaining that “over the last year, the NDCC developed an extensive long-term strategic plan that will expand our growth and influence and add value to our members and the business community of Dallas.” The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s new facility – under construction now – will support the execution of those plans.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and Ken Malcolmson!
