This was how Amber Olson Rourke, Nerium International Chief Marketing Officer and President of Nerium Ripple Foundation, described the company’s partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters in a video on the program’s website. While her words certainly resonate, and speak volumes of the brand, it’s the company’s actions that have truly set them apart from the rest. Since 2012, Nerium has raised an impressive amount of close to $4 million for the program, and this year they’ve set out to do it again with a goal of over $1 million in fundraising dollars.
Big Brothers Big Sisters believes every child is capable of great success and deserves a chance to thrive. “As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.” Ultimately, the website states that it’s the program’s goal to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, and Nerium International is one of their biggest advocates.
Through the Nerium Ripple Foundation they aim to make an impact in one person’s life, which then has a ripple effect on others and the world around them. “We are excited to look back years from now and see thousands of Bigs and Littles from Nerium International who will have directly impacted communities nationwide through this partnership,” says Rourke in the aforementioned video.
