Hair Extensions at Grand Spa

Try a new look this summer with Grand Spa

Throwing coins into a fountain, wishing on a star and taking lots of biotin has never worked for me – long, luscious hair is just something I will never have, no matter how much I hope for it. Luckily, growing out my hair isn’t the only option. Hair extensions are becoming more popular than ever because they look beautiful and are easy to get put in. I talked with Amanda McWhorter-Markwald, general manager of Grand Spa in Addison, to get all the details about hair extensions.

“Spring and summer are a great time to get hair extensions because we tend to use less heat styling tools over the summer,” said McWhorter-Markwald. “Adding extensions can give you more variety in hairstyles – especially wearing it in trendy ponytails, braids or the natural beachy wave look.”

Grand Spa offers iTips and Tape-Ins, both with Human Remy Hair. With proper care, the iTips last 10 to 12 weeks before needing a move up, and the Tape Ins last about 6 to 8 weeks. Also, the hair used in the extensions can be reused for up to one year!

“Hair extensions are great for all types of hair,” explained McWhorter-Markwald. “Extensions can be used to add length if you are wanting longer hair, or can just be added for volume if you want your hair to look fuller. Also with extensions, you can get them highlighted or colored for a different look, without actually coloring or bleaching your hair.”

Other hair services Grand Spa offers include a shampoo and blow out, up do or specialty style, men’s and women’s haircuts, highlights or lowlights, root touch ups, Keratin blow out, permanent waves, relaxer and more.

If you have always dreamed of extra long, flowy hair like I have, hair extensions from Grand Spa are the way to go. You will you have perfect hair for all your vacations and activities this summer, without the stress of trying to grow it out yourself. Make an appointment at Grand Spa today – and you never have to wish on a star again!
