Food Trucks in Addison This Spring

By on March 8, 2017

Food trucks can offer something for everyone

Although it’s technically still winter, we can’t wait for the calendar to turn to late spring and summer.  Why? Might you ask? Because warmer weather allows for lots of fun outdoor activities as well as hanging out with friends, and catching some very cool summertime entertainment. In Addison, we have great yearly events that bring out the masses; events like the Vitruvian Salsa Festival and Vitruvian Nights Live are always full of people who come out to take in some of the city’s best music entertainment, but these events also bring out one of the hottest trends around. FOOD TRUCKS! For the past few years, food trucks have been all the rage as their popularity has skyrocketed. They are now almost always a part of corporate events, big music festival, and community events and parties; and it’s not just independent gourmet food trucks that are out serving delicious food but there are different popular restaurants like Freebirds that have also added food trucks to their arsenal. Because you will normally find more than a handful of food trucks at these events, they are a great way to sample different dishes from all kinds of places. You can try some of the best barbecue dishes around as well as sliders, gourmet desserts, foods from around the world and of course frozen treats!

Delicious gourmet food trucks line up the parking lot at Vitruvian Park during their spring and summer events. You can catch Azucar (which serves Latin American food), Cousins Maine Lobster, Maui Wowi of DFW, Ruthie’s Food Trucks (which serves some of the best gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches you will ever have and are always made fresh-to-order.) You can also catch Yummy Food Truck Group, For Love of Pizza and The Guava Tree Truck among a long list of others during the summer months.

Check out Vitruvian Park’s website for this year’s event calendar to find out when their Salsa Festival, as well as Vitruvian Nights Live, will be and which food trucks will be out during these events.
