We are just a few days from Christmas and from having relatives and family in town, and with it the sometimes added stress of figuring out where to eat. While dinner is usually an easy decision to make, “Let’s just order pizza and watch a movie”; the first meal of the day can be tricky. You have to take into account that during the holidays we all want to take advantage of the time off to sleep in and thus making breakfast might actually turn into “what’s for lunch?” But do not fear! Here in the Corridor, we have some excellent brunch spots that will help you ease the stress of the first meal of the day, especially when you have company.

For those looking for a classic type of brunch, you cannot go wrong with Norma’s Café on Trinity Mills Rd just west of the North Dallas Tollway. They have every classic brunch menu item you can ask for. You can’t go wrong with the “Norma’s Cafe Favorite”; it’s two eggs made the way you want them with your either ham, bacon or sausage. They are served with hash browns or grits, and their delicious homemade biscuits or toast. They also make great Migas, which are served with freshly made salsa.

This next option is not just good for brunch, but just about any time of day. The Waffle House on Belt Line and Marsh Ln will never disappoint. It’s simple and always quick and easy.  Waffles, eggs, and bacon? Yes, yes and yes!

Dream Café will take you on quite a delicious taste trip. The Cloud Cakes are a MUST! Fluffy ricotta pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, crème fraîche, and powdered sugar, this is a meal that will feed your soul. Check out their weekend brunch menu for some outstanding menu choices as well like “Grady’s” which is smoked salmon, herb cream cheese, wilted spinach and chopped tomatoes. You just can’t go wrong at Dream Café.

For those feeling a little more adventurous, try Café Brazil. The coffee here is bottomless and more importantly, DELICIOUS. The Brazilian Breakfast is a feast! You get two farm fresh eggs, a Chorizo Empanada topped with their homemade spicy cream sauce, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes and served with Rosemary Potatoes, a Jalapeño, and Grilled Homemade White Bread. Their menu is available all day which makes this meal just right when you want a little bit more flavor than a breakfast plate but perhaps not too heavy like a big lunch dish.
