Since Addison is a hub for great businesses, it is full of many different networking groups and opportunities to join. These groups are a great opportunity to meet with people in your industry of choice to connect and share information. Each networking group has different qualifications and purposes, so it’s important to find the right one for you. If you are a woman in the real estate industry, then Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Dallas just might be the right group for you to join. Our readers have voted, and CREW Dallas recently won the 2016 Readers’ Choice Award for Favorite Networking Group!

“CREW Dallas is thrilled to be acknowledged the favorite networking group by Addison Magazine!” said Teresa Ereon Giltner, 2016 President of CREW Dallas. “As a powerful network that creates success for women in commercial real estate, this award shines a bright light on our wonderful members and their efforts to refer work to each other, learn together, share industry leads and development meaningful relationships.”

Many different types of events are put on by CREW Dallas in order to make networking easier. Some of the upcoming events include New Member Social, to get to know other new members and chapter leaders; Top Golf Networking, to sharpen your swing and bond with other members; and CREW Under the City Lights, an annual celebration of outstanding achievement. Membership is open to women presently employed in commercial real estate or students. There are many different disciplines within the commercial real estate world that would qualify you for membership, and they are outlined on their website.

As a nonprofit organization, CREW Dallas aims to be a powerful network that creates success for women in commercial real estate. This is done by providing opportunities for networking, professional education, leadership development and civic/philanthropic involvement. More than 300 members are a part of CREW Dallas, which is affiliated with the CREW Network of more than 9,500 members.

In addition to providing a place for networking, CREW Dallas also gives back to the community through CREW in the Community, a nonprofit organization that raises money to donate to other local nonprofits whose mission it is to improve the lives of women and girls in the community. Some of the local organizations receiving grants from CREW in the Community include Susan G. Komen, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Girls, Inc., Lawyers Against Domestic Violence, Child Abuse Prevention Center and more.

We are huge fans of women helping other women – both in the professional world and in the community — and that is exactly what CREW Dallas is doing. Next time you want to join a networking group, choose this reader-approved organization.
