Sitting Down With Texas Health Spine & Orthopedic Center
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – here in the North Dallas Corridor, we’re very proud of the superior medical facilities, and Texas Health Spine and Orthopedic Center (THSOC) is no exception. The center’s director, Jaclyn McDaniel, was kind enough to sit down with us and answer a few questions regarding services, culture and community involvement!
What services are offered to patients?
The Texas Health Spine and Orthopedic Center is a referral program that consumers can call to help find the doctor that is the most appropriate for their spine and orthopedic needs. The program has a patient navigator who works with each consumer to determine what type of doctor they should see and then helps to coordinate all their appointments.
What makes Texas Health Spine & Orthopedic Center stand out?
The THSOC referral line physician members are doctors who treat patients with various spine and orthopedic conditions. These conditions include scoliosis, spine tumors, degenerative spine conditions, joint replacement and general orthopedics. The patient navigator works with each of the referral line members and can help coordinate care across the various specialties. Whether a patient needs to see a physician for a long term spine injury or they hurt their knee over the weekend the patient navigator can assist them with finding the right physician and scheduling with them. The physician members of the center are all on staff at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery or Texas Health Plano, two award winning hospitals.
Has Texas Health Spine & Orthopedic received recognition? If so, by whom?
THSOC has more than 30 physician members and many of them have received awards throughout their careers. Some of these awards include being named Best Doctors in Dallas by D Magazine, Patient Choice Award from Vitals.com and Castle Connolly Top Doctors award. The physician members perform their surgeries at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery and Texas Health Plano both of which have received numerous accolades, including Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence & Outstanding Patient Experience Awards.
Describe the center’s culture.
The goal of the Texas Health Spine and Orthopedic Center is to connect consumers to the most appropriate doctor for their needs. The physician members strive to get patients quickly, safely, and comfortably back to everyday life, through responsive and progressive care.
What do you hope patients take away from their visit?
The Texas Health Spine and Orthopedic Center strives to effectively and efficiently connect consumers to the doctor or doctors whom are most appropriate for their specific injury or illness. We want consumers to know they can call the center and get the information necessary to be paired with the doctors that best fits their needs.
