Dallas Medical Center Labor and Delivery

Dallas Medical Center, located along Medical Parkway, can be described as “small”, and it’s exactly what differentiates the hospital from others in North Dallas. It’s this aspect that allows families to experience the benefits of a “close-knit community” as they go through one of life’s greatest milestones – childbirth.

The hospital’s size offers a number of benefits to patients and their families, convenience for expectant mothers being among those most valued. With the Women’s Center occupying an entire floor of the hospital, a mom can give birth in one of the five birthing rooms, then spend time bonding with her baby in one of the 11 private postpartum rooms only a short distance away. In addition to convenience, this creates smooth transition.

Each patient can certainly attest to this level of warmth and hospitality at Dallas Medical Center, but more than close quarters, this is likely attributed to the center’s excellent medical professionals.

“I think our staff make the difference,” states a proud Brandy Cherry, RN, “We like being a small unit, which means we can give very personalized care and attention to our patients.”

They certainly provide care and attention from beginning to the end, mothers are offered education courses and access to lactation consultants who can provide the most up-to-date information on breastfeeding. Upon delivery day, both parents of the newborn are offered a delicious Celebration Meal one night during their stay. As they relax and enjoy the change, they’re able to indulge in a three-course meal including flat iron steak, grilled jumbo shrimp, and chocolate lava cake.

Bringing a child into the world is nothing short of monumental, and it’s an event that should be celebrated to the utmost degree. At Dallas Medical Center, on-staff physicians and nurses are committed to providing you and your growing family with unmatched care throughout the entire labor and delivery process.
