Nice weather means time to enjoy the day on the patio

Spring is in the air, and to be honest, it’s felt like spring since December but that’s a topic for another day. Today we are talking about some of the cool patios around the Corridor. With the mild temperatures we’ve had lately, it’s a great time to enjoy a meal out on one of the many restaurant patios around the Corridor.

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine has one of the few patios around that can be used whether is 80 degrees or 40 degrees outside. They have plenty of outdoor heaters for the cooler temperatures as well as drop down tarps that protect you from inclement weather; as we all very well know, the weather in North Texas can change from second to the next. During the warmer months, Gloria’s patio is a great place to enjoy a cold drink with friends like the Spicy Pineapple Margarita or Fresh Guava Margarita. Bonus: The patio remains open late on Fridays and Saturdays during Gloria’s Salsa nights so you can hang out on the patio or go inside and salsa with some of the best live music in the city. Visit their website for more information.

Lazy Dog, not only has a spacious patio area but for those of us who love our four-legged friends, they are welcomed to hang out in the patio area. Lazy Dog even has a special menu for our doggies! Your pup will love the level of care that Lazy Dog has for them, from the complementary bowl of water to keep them hydrated to the grilled chicken and brown rice plate made just for them, they will love going out to Lazy Dog. As far as the menu for us humans go, you can’t go wrong with one of their half-pound burgers or brick oven pizzas. Check out Lazy Dogs website for details and information about bringing your dog to hang out on the patio.

Mercy Wine Bar offers a great view of people watching on the Village on the Parkway. They are open late, so grabbing a nice glass of wine and sitting on the patio while you watch people walk by is always a relaxed way of ending a hard day at work. Their staff is very knowledgeable about their menu and the wines they currently have and they will help pair your meal with the best wine. The patio is great for conversation and you’ll feel like you’re at a small café having a glass of wine in Paris. Go to their website for a list of wines as well as their complete menu.
