Nerium International Hosts Big Brothers Big Sisters
Addison-based Nerium International loves giving back to the community, and the employees are passionate about helping as well. Recently, Nerium International partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star to host the Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising tournament, which raised $5,000. Nerium’s philanthropic organization The Ripple Foundation matched the funds, making the total contribution to help at-risk children $10,000. In addition, nine new “Bigs” were recruited at the bowling tournament.
“Nerium is delighted to raise money for BBBS Lone Star to support at-risk children in the program, but we are also thrilled to bring nine new Bigs into the fold,” said Renee Olson, Nerium International chief leadership officer. “As a result of the bowling tournament, we are grateful that more Texas children will be mentored through Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.”
Olsen herself is a Big Sister, and she enjoyed bowling with her Little Sister, Ryan, at the event. The money raised from Bowl for Kids’ Sake will support ten at-risk children in the BBBS Texas Program for one year. BBBS Lone Star is the largest BBBS agency in the world, servicing cities across Texas, impacted approximately 30,000 children, volunteers and families through 20 offices in 100 Texas counties.
